OPERATIONAL POLICY

Library cards are free of charge to residents of the City of Lynchburg and Amherst County, as well as to currently enrolled CVCC students.  On order to checkout materials all others are required to purchase a non-resident membership which provides privileges for the entire household.  The non-resident fee is $25.00 per year or $7.00 for three months.  Proof of identity and address are required for issuance of all library cards.
Note: In house use of materals does not require a card.

Copy fees: 
Self-service photocopiers: $0.15 per page.
Microforms: $0.10 per page.
Photocopies for Cooperative members through ILL: up to 10 pages free.  Additional pages are $0.10 each.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN POLICY
1.  College and school students will be referred to their schools for service.
2.  We do not lend best sellers, books that are new and / or in heavy demand, reference books, all non-book materials.
3.  Loan is three weeks.  Renewal, if granted, is two weeks.
4.  We accept requests by ALA or similar form (mail or fax) or OCLC.  Please include publisher, date, and edition and enclose a mailing label.
5.  We do not accept reserves.
6.  Books may not be picked up or returned to us by the patron.
7.  Children's / Juvenile material will be loaned.
