Regular Museum hours:
10 a.m. until noon and from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
Note: Museum is closed from Noon until 1pm each day.
Research library:
The Museum includes one room of dedicated library resources. There is no online catalog, but the website does include information about what kinds of materials are housed in the library (see link at the top of this page). The Museum is free and open to the public; materials do not circulate; photocopies are .15 per page; appointments are required for use of archival material.

Mission and Collection Development:
The mission of the Amherst County Museum & Historical Society is to discover, collect and preserve objects related to the history and genealogy of Amherst County. The Museum & Historical Society shall exhibit, interpret and offer those collections to provide educational experiences for people of all ages.
