History and Mission

The library was founded by Charlotte Stern, retired RMWC professor and member of  First Unitarian Church, Lynchburg. It was renamed in her honor after her death in 2008. Her vision was that the library become a community resource center to promote world peace, human rights, religious tolerance, and environmental responsibility.
